Brookside Gardens - Wings of Fancy Exhibit

A few of the spectacular butterflies found in the popular “Wings of Fancy” exhibit are represented here.  O-Zone produced images for use in a PowerPoint presentation as part of a lecture series promoting both the exhibit and Brookside Gardens, and naturally, our working instructions for photography prohibited disturbing either the insects or visitors.  The challenge was not in making one good butterfly photo, but capturing one superb image of each species of butterfly.  That, and working in a greenhouse, which is usually more humid, plus ten degrees warmer than the outside temperature, increasing over the course of the day.  The Butterfly Exhibit is in the South Conservatory at 1500 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, MD 20902, while the Visitors Center is at 1800 Glenallan Avenue.  Call 301-962-1400 for more information.
