Excerpts from Danya Science Club Kit
The Danya Science Club Kit is a curriculum package that helps make science fun and easy for elementary (K-2) school students. Adhering to National Science Education (NSE) standards, the kit invites kids to join the Science Club, where kids are eager to learn all kinds of surprising things—kooky chemistry, technology tactics, the lively life sciences—and more. O-Zone produced the video segments supporting lesson plans and student activities. We visited with a television meteorologist in Baltimore, a curator of Giant Pandas and primates at the Smithsonian National Zoo, and a paleontologist associated with the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center in Colorado, among others, to help illustrate where and how real science intersects with the real world. The Science Club Kit helps kids become interested and involved in science, and begin to find real possibilities for their future.
