Stationery House Photography

At the time of these assignments, The Stationery House ranked as a premiere manufacturer of upscale holiday and greeting cards for businesses and consumers alike.  Most images were slated for Christmas - Hanukkah seasonal applications, and were multipurpose; some images were designed as card covers, and some for use as background plates for both web and print catalogue iterations.  Many background images were shot to deliver abundant space for positioning sample products—cards and trinkets—in the foreground.  In the design phase, background images were used variously; sometimes up full, sometimes screened; sometimes images bled off into empty space for product placement; and some catalogue pages were also treated as monochromatic tints for dramatic effect and even greater separation.  The assignments originated on location and in our studio, and as deployed, the photos provided a uniquely successful product presentation.
